It seems like some people are always talking about how you need a mentor if you really want to succeed. What about people who don’t want a mentor or think getting one is too much hassle?
Getting a mentor in the traditional life coach sense is great. But if you are like me I don’t really want to go out and find one. I do have mentors, but not in the traditional sense of the word.
I think you can have mentors, many mentors and not even talk to them. For instance if you want a mentor to improve your spirituality you could pick someone like Wayne Dyer. Do you think he would talk to you or mentor you? If so could you afford it?
Well I do have him for a mentor but I don’t pay him very much. I just bought his book. Now he is my mentor, not in the traditional sense, but I am learning from him and accessing his knowledge.
The truth is you can have one mentor for each area of your life that you want to improve. I encourage you to seek out people who you admire and think that can help you.
Now it is great if you get a mentor in the classical sense, but having a mentor this way means not having to worry about how often or where you should meet. Also this new way you can change mentors very easily without any hurt feelings.
Start today by gathering a team of mentors that will take you to the next level in life.
